Adecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturing client in the Chattanooga, TN area to find a full-time Controls Engineer to design, program, and support industrial automation and control systems. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems

  • Support automation projects: design, installation, commissioning, startup

  • Develop electrical schematics, control logic, and documentation

  • Diagnose equipment issues; optimize system performance

  • Coordinate with vendors, integrators, and internal teams

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards

  • Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives


Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field

  • Experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)

  • HMI/SCADA programming experience

  • Industrial automation, manufacturing, or process control background

  • Strong troubleshooting and project coordination skills

  • Robotics, motion control, or vision system experience

  • AutoCAD Electrical or similar design tools
