We are recruiting a Communications Specialist for our client in Arkansas City, Ks who is a global leader in commercial and military jet engines and avionics. This is a long-term temporary opportunity.
Hourly pay rate: $29.50
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday7:00-4:00/8:00-5:00
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and implement communications strategy and ensures the performance of communications generalist activities by partnering with leadership.
Draft and distribute messages.
Create communication and maintain an up-to-date content calendar.
Create, edit, and distribute short video messages.
Develop agenda, support messaging and materials for live/in-person meetings.
Train local leaders on expectations related to communications flow down.
Support site branding and signage refresh in partnership with leadership.
Keep a finger on the pulse of the culture and ensure message tone is credible and aligns with the site.
Stay aligned with other departments in the organization.
Requirements:
· Bachelors degree in Marketing or Communications
· 3 – 5 years of experience in communications, preferably in a manufacturing environment
· Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently on tactical deliverables and incorporate strategic viewpoint
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to build relationships and gather feedback on communications
· Go getter willing to jump in and help
Critical thinker able to understand data and trends
Comfortable with taking charge and executing
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Builds strong connections with new people from diverse backgrounds
Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Self-started with a strong sense of ownership
Brings an action-oriented approach, with flexibility and initiative to support evolving business needs.
