CNC Programmer – 1st Shift

Livonia, MI | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

The Adecco Permanent Recruitment Team has partnered with a leading precision manufacturing company in Livonia, MI that is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team on 1st shift.

This role is focused on high-speed machining and precision tooling for the plastic injection molding industry, with an emphasis on complex multi-axis programming, tight tolerances, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines using Mastercam

• Program high-speed machining of hardened steels and electrodes used in precision mold applications

• Support programming for horizontal mills used in soft machining of steel and plastics

• Create and maintain machining instructions, setup sheets, and technical documentation

• Modify drawings and support engineering changes as needed

• Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions

• Help develop and maintain programming and quality standards

• Work closely with machinists, engineering, and shop floor teams to support production and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Previous experience with Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM programming software

• Strong 3D, multi-axis CNC programming experience

• Prior machine shop experience required

• Strong blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T

• Knowledge of machining principles, speeds and feeds, and dimensional tolerancing

• Experience working with tight tolerances and metric measurements

• Strong problem-solving and technical judgment skills

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Familiarity with ISO 9000 / AS9100 quality standards preferred

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
