 CMM Operator – 1st Shift

Location: Warren, MI
Pay: $26.00–$28.00/hour, with additional flexibility for highly qualified candidates; $3k sign on bonus; benefits are effective after 30 days
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Type: Direct Hire

Position Overview

A leading aerospace manufacturing company in Warren, MI is seeking an experienced CMM Operator to join its first-shift manufacturing team. This position plays an important role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of production parts and tooling.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, schedule-driven manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CMM equipment to inspect production parts and tooling for calibration.

  • Perform dimensional inspections and ensure products meet established specifications.

  • Assist in developing and implementing an operator self-verification program in accordance with AS9162 requirements.

  • Train production operators on the self-verification process and procedures.

  • Read and follow work instructions, process procedures, and inspection requirements.

  • Properly use precision measuring and product-handling equipment.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality documentation.

  • Organize and prioritize work to meet production schedules.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of CMM operation and inspection experience.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Strong understanding of dimensional inspection and precision measurement.

  • Ability to read and understand process procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.

  • Knowledge of proper material/product handling practices.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, schedule-driven manufacturing environment.

  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus.



Pay Details: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour
