Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a leading pharmaceutical and life sciences organization known for its work in laboratory testing, scientific research, and quality-focused operations.

We’re seeking a Scientist I to join the Microbiology team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career scientist with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related science who wants to gain hands-on experience in a regulated pharmaceutical laboratory environment.

The assignment is expected to run for approximately one year, with potential for a temp-to-hire opportunity based on business needs, performance, and other applicable factors.

What You’ll Do

You’ll support microbiological and environmental testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, finished products, and stability samples while working within established quality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct microbiological and environmental testing using compendial and internally developed methods

• Test pharmaceutical raw materials, finished products, and stability samples

• Perform laboratory testing using validated methods and accurately document results

• Support analytical testing involving spectroscopy, quantitative analysis, traditional wet chemistry, and chromatography, as applicable

• Recognize and report out-of-specification (OOS), unexpected, or non-routine results

• Assist with identifying and addressing laboratory or product-related issues

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation as needed

• Clearly communicate testing activities, observations, and analytical results

• Record and report results according to established laboratory procedures and systems

• Collaborate and communicate with other departments

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and safety guidelines

• Maintain required training and compliance standards

What We’re Looking For

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline required

Experience

• No professional experience required

• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply

• Experience in a GMP microbiology or pharmaceutical testing laboratory is preferred

• Academic laboratory, research, internship, or hands-on microbiology experience is a plus

Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
