We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join a busy outpatient healthcare team in El Monte, CA. This role is ideal for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional with strong clinical and administrative skills who is committed to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced medical office.

Location: El Monte, CA 91733
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Minimum 6-month+ temp/contract role
Pay Rate: $24.34/hr.

Key Responsibilities

  • Room patients and prepare them for examinations.

  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other patient information.

  • Administer injections and perform blood draws (phlebotomy).

  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.

  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Manage provider task lists and patient follow-up activities.

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls while providing excellent customer service.

  • Maintain examination rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and organized.

  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.

  • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification.

  • Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience.

  • Proficiency with computers and electronic documentation systems.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using EPIC electronic medical records (EMR).

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
