Bilingual Receptionist

Pay: $25
Location: Oakland, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (OT as needed)
Start Date: ASAP upon successful completion of screenings.

Position Overview

A nonprofit organization is seeking a reliable and compassionate Bilingual Receptionist to support front office operations and community service programs. This role combines administrative responsibilities with hands-on support in the food pantry and community resource distribution efforts. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and passionate about serving the community.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist clients, visitors, and guests in a professional and welcoming manner.

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.

  • Sort and distribute mail and deliveries.

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support.

  • Assist with organizing and distributing HAMO diapers, Cake4Kids orders, and other community resources.

  • Support food pantry operations, including stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and orderly pantry.

  • Assist with receiving and organizing Food Bank deliveries.

  • Perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving boxes and supplies weighing 25-30 pounds.

  • Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients and community members.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (required).

  • Previous receptionist, administrative, customer service, or nonprofit experience preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Comfortable performing both office and physical work.

  • Ability to lift and carry 25-30 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Dependable, professional, and service-oriented.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass required pre-employment screenings.

  • Must provide current immunization records due to working around children.

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
