Sample Management / Laboratory Support Technician
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a leading life sciences organization known for supporting laboratory research, testing, and sample management operations in Covington, KY.
Position Details
Location: Covington, KY
Pay: Up to 18.6/hr
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday | 4:00 PM–12:30 AM
Shift: Second Shift
Interview: Phone interview with the hiring manager
Experience: 0–1 year preferred
Position Overview
The Sample Management / Laboratory Support Technician will support day-to-day laboratory operations by handling samples, maintaining inventory records, and completing administrative and tracking activities within the Sample Management department.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a laboratory or life sciences environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with documentation, and able to follow established SOPs with limited direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine sample and inventory management activities, including receiving, checking in, logging, labeling, tracking, transporting, and checking out samples.
Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation in accordance with established SOPs.
Provide administrative support to the Sample Coordinator and Sample Management team.
Communicate task status and any issues to supervisors and appropriate laboratory personnel.
Follow SOPs, client procedures, regulatory guidelines, and sample storage requirements.
Support appropriate storage and handling of laboratory samples and materials.
Assist with responses to environmental unit alarms and participate in on-call responsibilities as needed.
Complete daily assignments accurately, timely, and safely.
Work collaboratively with laboratory staff to fulfill sample and material requests.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical or vocational certification may be preferred for certain assignments.
Approximately 0–1 year of relevant experience preferred; equivalent education, training, or experience may be considered.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate tracking and documentation.
Good time-management and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow detailed procedures and work effectively in a team environment.

Pay Details: $17.00 to $18.60 per hour
