Opportunity Overview
A leading animal health and vaccine manufacturing organization is seeking an Aseptic Manufacturing Technician I to support vaccine production in a regulated GMP manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable following established procedures, and interested in building experience in life sciences manufacturing.
The technician will support vaccine production using Primary Chicken Embryo Fibroblast (CEF) cells and will be involved in the manufacturing process from cell preparation through harvest, blending, and filling.
You do not need extensive specialized experience to be successful in this role. Strong attention to detail, reliability, the ability to follow written procedures, and a willingness to learn are highly valued.
What You'll Do
Perform aseptic processing and cleanroom activities in accordance with GMP requirements and site procedures.
Support vaccine manufacturing activities, including:
Preparing cell cultures
Infecting cells
Harvesting vaccine material
Blending vaccine material
Filling vaccine material
Follow established SOPs, manufacturing directions, batch records, and other controlled documentation.
Complete GMP documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Set up, operate, clean, and take down manufacturing equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory and material records.
Follow all site safety, quality, and compliance procedures.
Properly gown and work within a controlled cleanroom environment.
Work effectively as part of a team and communicate with other departments as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Perform other manufacturing support activities as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required
High school diploma or GED.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to follow detailed written procedures and instructions.
Dependable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills.
Willingness to work in a regulated, procedure-driven environment.
Preferred
Post-secondary education or coursework in biology, chemistry, life sciences, or a related field.
Experience in manufacturing, production, laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, animal health, food production, or another regulated environment.
Previous experience with cleanrooms, aseptic processing, GMP documentation, or controlled procedures.
Basic math, science, and computer skills.
Relevant experience is helpful, but extensive specialized experience is not required. Candidates with strong attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Schedule & Shift Details
This position offers two schedule options:
Tuesday–Friday
5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Four scheduled days per week
10-hour shifts
40 hours per week
Saturday–Monday
5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Three scheduled days per week
12-hour shifts
20% shift premium for employees working this weekend schedule
Additional hours may be required based on production needs
Please note: Both schedules require a consistent 5:00 AM start time. Candidates should be comfortable with early-morning reporting and have reliable transportation to the facility.
Overtime may be required based on business and production needs.
Physical & Work Environment
This is a hands-on manufacturing position in a controlled environment. The role requires the ability to:
Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Wear required PPE, including Tyvek garments and respiratory protection when required.
Work in varying temperatures.
Reach above shoulder level, bend, stoop, push, pull, grip, and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
Lift and carry materials weighing approximately 5–25 lbs.
Perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and fingers.
Work a scheduled 40-hour week and overtime as needed.
