Analyst Sourcing Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Monitor supplier performance, service levels, and product availability across Fresh Meat categories

• Support Sourcing Manager in the development of supplier performance/continuous improvement targets and related scorecards

• Administration of supplier assessments, score cards, and other analytics to manage supplier performance

• Prepare planning guide to facilitate the completion of the negotiation and support Sourcing Manager where needed

• General day-to-day sourcing analysis and cost benefit tracking

• Conduct opportunity assessments, benchmarking, and cost modeling to develop different award optimization scenarios to minimize total cost of ownership

• Identify total internal costs associated with supplier price, delivery, operations and quality

• Identify supply risks, gaps in fill rate, and inventory flow issues; escalate as needed

• Conduct root cause analysis on supply disruptions (forecasting, capacity, logistics, supplier constraints)

• Support execution of sourcing processes, including supplier onboarding.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Experience with data analysis and tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or similar platforms).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and recommendations

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred:

• Experience with data modelling, cost analysis, or performance analytics

• Exposure to data governance, data management, or reporting frameworks

• Experience in direct product sourcing, supply chain, and/or category management (Meat/Seafood experience preferred)

• Strong analytical skills (Excel, project tracking and reporting tools a plus)

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Experience with perishable categories (e.g., Fresh Meat, cold chain, shrink considerations)

• Familiarity with supplier performance metrics and inventory management concepts
