About the job
Adecco is seeking an experienced Senior Air Cargo Operations Specialist for a dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in air freight operations, compliance, and client service.
You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless movement of air cargo shipments while maintaining operational excellence and delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of air freight shipments, from booking to final delivery
Coordinate with airlines, customs brokers, ground handlers, and internal teams
Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or disruptions
Serve as a senior escalation point for customers and operational issues
Ensure compliance with IATA, TSA, and international shipping regulations
Prepare and review documentation, including AWBs, invoices, and packing lists
Build and maintain strong relationships with airline partners and clients
Track performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement
Support, mentor, and guide junior operations team members
Qualifications
Experience in air freight or cargo operations
Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, incoterms, and documentation
Experience working within a freight forwarder, logistics provider, or similar environment
Proficiency in logistics systems and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred:
IATA/FIATA certification
Dangerous Goods (DGR) certification
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
