Adecco is partnering with a well-established construction organization in New Rochelle, NY, to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking a stable, long-term position with a reputable company.

Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist will report directly to the VP of Finance and be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounts payable functions while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile vendor invoices accurately and efficiently

  • Enter invoices into the accounting system with a high level of accuracy

  • Prepare and maintain tax-exempt certificates

  • Assist with corporate credit card reconciliations

  • Perform scanning, filing, copying, and other administrative duties

  • Provide backup receptionist coverage when needed

  • Assist with departmental projects and special assignments

  • Communicate professionally with vendors, management, and team members

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

  • Support the Finance Department with additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 4–6 years of Accounts Payable experience required

  • Construction industry experience strongly preferred

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Experience with Timberline and/or Viewpoint is a plus

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Notary Public certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification

 



Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
