This is a 1st shift opportunity, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. Pay will be $21.50 an hr.

 

Responsibilities for this position are:

 

·       Conducts interviews and obtain information from patients, patient’s family, and/or guardian concerning responsibility for patient care. Complete new admission paperwork.

·       Establish ability and authority of responsible party for payment of patient services rendered including precertification for patients with insurance. Perform follow-up interviews and contacts as needed.

·       Manage the credentialing and enrollment process for physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals with commercial insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers. Track expiration dates for licenses, certifications, malpractice coverage, and other credentialing requirements.

·       Maintain, run reports to review and evaluate patient accounts including posting charges, submitting insurance claims, working denied claims and posting payments into Meditech electronic medical records.

·       Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications for this position are:

 

• High school graduate or GED.

• Minimum two years’ experience in Medicaid/Managed Care/Medicare/Medicare Advantage insurance/third party billing procedures.

• Experience using an electronic medical records system.

• Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care enrollment processes.

• Familiarity with payer portals and credentialing systems.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple providers, payers, and deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with healthcare provider credentialing, payer enrollment, medical staff services, or insurance verification.
