The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care in a high-volume retail pharmacy while ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional member service. This role works collaboratively with pharmacy technicians, healthcare providers, and warehouse leadership to provide accurate prescription dispensing and patient counseling.


Location: Issaquah, Washington
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 12:30pm-8:30pm, or Saturday from 12:30pm-8:30pm (additional hours may be needed)
Employment Type: Per diem/temporary role
Pay Range: $70.00-72.00/hr. - depending on your level of experience


Essential Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and accurately dispense prescription medications.

  • Evaluate prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, dosage, and frequency.

  • Counsel patients regarding medication use, side effects, storage, and adherence.

  • Communicate with physicians to clarify prescriptions and obtain refill authorizations when necessary.

  • Administer immunizations and other pharmacy services in accordance with state regulations.

  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and ancillary staff.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, DEA requirements, and company policies.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and prescription documentation.

  • Monitor medication inventory and controlled substances.

  • Promote patient safety through medication therapy review and clinical judgment.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining an efficient pharmacy workflow.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.

  • Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of practice.

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Retail pharmacy experience.

  • Immunization certification.

  • Experience with high-volume prescription dispensing.

  • Strong customer service and patient counseling skills.

  • Experience supervising pharmacy technicians.

Pay Details: $70.00 to $72.00 per hour
