Machine Operator

Adecco is currently assisting a local Customer in their search for a Machine Operator positions in Swannanoa, NC This is a great opportunity to further your existing skills as a Machine Operator while learning new ones to assist you in your career. • Shift:  Mon-Fri 6:00am- 4:00pm

• Pay: $17.00 p/h

Responsibilities:  

• Set up and operate production machinery used to cut, drill, grind, press, or shape metal and plastic components.

• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and production instructions to meet product specifications.

• Inspect finished parts and materials using measuring tools, templates, and gauges to ensure quality standards.

• Monitor machine performance and identify defects, malfunctions, or production issues during operation.

• Load, position, and secure raw materials and workpieces using fixtures, chucks, feeding mechanisms, or lifting equipment.

• Replace worn cutting tools, machine accessories, and other components as needed to maintain production efficiency.

• Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, coolant replenishment, and minor mechanical adjustments.

 

Requirements:  

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, machine operation, or a related environment.

• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.

• Basic understanding of machine tools, equipment operation, and manufacturing processes.

• Ability to use measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and templates to inspect parts.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality defects and production issues.

• Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
