Hours- Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-12:30am, Friday 9:30am-1:30pm
Payrate- $17.00-$24.00/hour, depending on experience
Job Summary:
The Automatic Assembly Machine Cell Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of automated assembly equipment to produce high-quality products that meet customer and company requirements. This position performs machine operation, assembly, inspection, packaging, material handling, routine maintenance, and production documentation while supporting production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions:
Machine Operation & Production
· Operate automatic and semi-automatic assembly equipment according to standard work instructions and production requirements.
· Monitor machine performance, production output, workflow, and product quality to support schedules and customer delivery requirements.
· Load components and materials into equipment; remove finished products for inspection and packaging.
· Identify and report machine malfunctions, equipment issues, or production concerns to supervision or maintenance personnel.
· Perform basic machine adjustments as trained to maintain operational efficiency.
Quality Assurance
· Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
· Perform periodic dimensional checks using approved measuring and inspection equipment, such as calipers and gauges.
· Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
· Segregate and report non-conforming materials or products.
· Complete required quality documentation and production records accurately.
Maintenance & Equipment Care
· Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks and cleaning activities as assigned.
· Assist with machine setup, tooling changes, and product changeovers.
· Maintain equipment and workstations in good operating condition and report concerns promptly.
Material Handling & Packaging
· Move materials, components, and finished goods within the work area as needed.
· Package products according to customer and company specifications.
· Verify product identification, labels, packaging requirements, and workstation material needs.
Safety & Compliance
· Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
· Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
· Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
· Collaborate with operators, technicians, supervisors, quality personnel, and other departments.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving activities, and team meetings.
· Support cross-training efforts, assist in other production areas as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
· Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
· Ability to read and follow work instructions, production documents, identification tags, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
· Ability to use inspection and measuring devices, including gauges, calipers, and similar tools.
· Strong mechanical aptitude, basic troubleshooting skills, and ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and recording production data.
· Ability to accurately complete production paperwork and computer-based transactions.
Preferred
· Previous manufacturing or assembly experience.
· Experience operating automated production equipment.
· Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or 5S practices.
· Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing software systems.
· Mechanical maintenance or machine setup experience.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.
· Ability to regularly use hands for gripping, handling, assembling, and operating machinery.
· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.
· Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
· Ability to perform visual inspections and distinguish colors, defects, measurements, and product specifications when required.
· Ability to work safely around moving mechanical equipment and manufacturing processes.
· Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toed footwear, and other PPE as required.
· Ability to work overtime, alternate shifts, or flexible schedules as business needs require.

Pay Details: $17.00 to $24.00 per hour
