Inventory Control Assistant
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Understand material and information flow in all processes to perform daily cycle count of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials
• Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weigh and label remaining product and conduct product recounts as directed. Breakdown boxes and pallets as necessary to fit shelving
• Accurately input inventory control data by using Software to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity to ensure inventory integrity while also maintaining Inventory Accuracy Metrics Reports
• Maintaining product identification, location program and lot code accuracy
• Researching inventory discrepancies, conduct searches to locate misclassified inventory and making necessary corrections
• Tracking, and reporting non-conforming product
• Research and report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products, documenting and controlling damaged items. Escalate information of defective materials/product to a inventory coordinator
• Ensuring all labeling and tagging info is in place / accurate
• Following successful completion of training, perform all tasks in a safe manner when utilizing equipment such as a forklift to move materials, ensuring equipment is in good working condition.

• Continually strive to promote safety, ensuring the production and shipment of quality products by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting with cleaning and sanitation throughout the production areas, and accurately completing paperwork.  Notify Management of any safety concerns.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Experience: One-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in manufacturing 
• Certifications: Ability to become forklift certified and certified for use/wear of specific personal protective equipment including steel toed shoes
• Functional Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Basic understanding of percentages. Ability to recognize and follow alpha and numeric sequences. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization is sometimes limited. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written or oral form
• Technology Aptitude/Skills: Moderate knowledge of computer and keyboard functions. Working knowledge of manufacturing, inventory control and order processing software. Proficient in excel.

Physical and Sensory Demands / Environmental Conditions:

• Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs throughout each shift with minimal periods of sitting
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds
• Ability to use hands and fingers to reach, grip, grasp, and twist as well the ability to kneel, stoop, bend and crouch
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with fluctuating temperatures and noise levels

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
