Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Benefits Technician to provide administrative and operational support to the Benefits & Wellbeing team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate benefits records, processing enrollments and changes, reconciling invoices, generating reports, and supporting benefits administration activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in benefits administration, HR support, payroll support, accounting support, or another high-volume data processing environment, along with strong Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration & Data Management
Process employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations.
Maintain accurate employee benefits records across multiple systems.
Review and verify benefits-related data for accuracy.
Reconcile discrepancies between internal records, payroll systems, and benefit vendors.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance when handling employee information.
Billing & Reconciliation
Review and reconcile monthly benefits invoices.
Prepare billing summaries and supporting documentation for Accounts Payable.
Monitor invoice deadlines and ensure timely submission for payment.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
Reporting & Analytics
Generate recurring and ad hoc reports using benefits systems and Microsoft Excel.
Support data audits and reconciliation projects.
Assist with enrollment tracking and high-volume benefits processing cycles.
Analyze data and identify potential issues requiring follow-up.
Cross-Functional Support
Partner with Benefits, Payroll, HR, Accounts Payable, and external vendors.
Assist in resolving benefits-related questions and administrative issues.
Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders regarding benefits processes and data needs.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
Benefits administration
HR support
Payroll support
Accounting support
High-volume administrative or data processing environments
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
Formulas
PivotTables
Sorting and filtering
Data reconciliation
Experience generating reports from HRIS, payroll, or benefits systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to handle confidential employee information.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with benefits vendors and HRIS platforms.
Experience in multi-system data environments.
Experience supporting open enrollment and new hire benefits processes.
Experience within a large corporate HR, payroll, benefits, or accounting environment.

Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
