General Production Associate – 3rd Shift
For a production facility located in Houston, Texas, we are seeking a General Production Associate for the Production Department on third shift. This position works on a consistent schedule from Sunday through Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and focuses on executing manufacturing tasks and operating production machinery to support high-quality output. The role reports directly to the Plant Manager and functionally to the Team Leader, with regular interaction with Machine Operators and the HSE Manager. The General Production Associate is responsible for following standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintaining safety guidelines, and contributing to production output, safety indicators, and quality standards while working as part of a coordinated team.
Benefits
Hourly pay rate of $21 for all hours worked on the designated third shift schedule.
Fixed third shift schedule from Sunday through Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., providing predictable working hours within the production department.
What You Will Do?
Execute manufacturing process tasks and basic equipment maintenance in the production area, strictly following established standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
Monitor product quality throughout the production process, perform regular inspections, and promptly identify any deviations or defects affecting quality standards.
Notify appropriate personnel of quality issues and assist in troubleshooting activities, helping to maintain required product quality levels and reduce recurring defects.
Maintain a consistent workflow by ensuring smooth operation of production machinery, adjusting machine settings, and performing minor repairs or adjustments when necessary.
Handle raw materials, components, and finished products according to standard procedures, including loading, unloading, and moving materials within the production area safely.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promptly reporting any safety hazards, near misses, or incidents to supervisors or designated safety personnel.
Maintain accurate documentation of production counts, machine logs, quality control checks, and other relevant records, reporting production data and issues as required.
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, Machine Operators, and the HSE Manager to support smooth production flow and resolve production-related issues efficiently.
Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives, providing suggestions and feedback to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety practices.
Assist with machine operation and packaging tasks as needed, supporting overall production output, safety indicators, and quality metrics assigned to the department.
Your Skills
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification, meeting the training requirement for the General Production Associate position.
Have proficiency in English for workplace communication, with Spanish language skills considered an additional advantage for interacting within the facility.
Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines accurately, maintaining compliance with established production and safety standards.
Bring previous warehouse experience as an asset, contributing to effective material handling, organization, and coordination of components and finished products.
Offer experience operating production machinery and tools as an asset, supporting efficient equipment use, basic adjustments, and minor repair activities on the production line.
Hold a forklift certification as an asset, enhancing capabilities in material handling, loading, unloading, and moving materials within the production area safely.
Work cooperatively with the Plant Manager, Team Leaders, Machine Operators, and the HSE Manager, supporting cooperation, teamwork, and clear communication in daily operations.

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
