Supplier & Operations Quality Engineer

For a leading manufacturing company in the industrial sector, Adecco is recruiting a Supplier & Operations Quality Engineer to support supplier development, operations quality, and process improvement activities. In this role, you will coordinate development and industrialization activities with Metal Work (Carpentry), Machining, Casting, AL Extrusion, and Painting suppliers, ensuring that supplied components meet defined quality standards and production requirements. You will work closely with purchasing and R&D teams on supplier selection, new component and equipment development, and qualification of new supply sources. The position combines supplier quality engineering, production process quality oversight, and structured problem-solving to reduce defects and improve supplier quality KPI performance. This opportunity is suited to candidates with engineering backgrounds who are comfortable working across manufacturing technologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

 What you should bring:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Management, Manufacturing) or Technical Diploma
• Experience in new product startup
• Experience in assembly process
• Knowledge of the main manufacturing technologies, principles and tools of Lean Manufacturing (Waste, Poka Yoka, Value stream map, SMED, DMAIC process, 6σ, etc)
• Experience in production standard time definition
• Knowledge of Office packages in particular Excel
• Knowledge of Autocad / CAD
• Team player with strong leadership
• Strong practical sense
• Italian and English fluency
• Availability for national and international business trips

1.     Coordinate development and industrialization of Metal Work (Carpentry), Machining, Casting, AL Extrusion, Painting suppliers

2.     Develop quality documentation regarding the control of supplies

3.     Supplier Audit and Process Qualification

4.     Improve supplier quality KPI

5.     Promotes corrective actions in case of deviations of product particularities

6.     Guarantee the support to purchasing department in evaluating and confirm new suppliers

7.     Guarantee the support to R&D department to develop new component / equipment

8.     Scouting to identify new technologies and supply opportunities

9.     Understand how to change the process in order to remove the defects

10.  Support the problem-solving process for process and supplier-related issues.

11.  Manage non-conformance reports with suppliers.

12.  Assist in component selection in case of supply anomalies.

13.  Oversee quality control in the production process.

14.  Identify and communicate priority quality issues to management teams.

15.  Conduct production line and testing audits.
