Scientist (Protein & Antibody Engineering)
Science & Technology
We are partnering with a leading biopharmaceutical organisation to identify a Scientist to join its research team in Singapore.
This is an exciting opportunity for a PhD-trained scientist with strong research expertise in protein or antibody engineering to contribute to the discovery and development of innovative therapeutic candidates addressing unmet medical needs.
The Role
You will play a key role in driving research programmes focused on the design, engineering and optimisation of therapeutic proteins and antibodies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Engineering and optimising lead antibody candidates to improve affinity, stability, developability, pharmacokinetics and therapeutic performance.
- Designing and evaluating different antibody formats, including bispecific antibodies, antibody fragments, ADCs and fusion proteins.
- Applying protein engineering approaches such as rational design, mutagenesis and protein optimisation to address complex therapeutic targets.
- Contributing to the development of next-generation antibody engineering technologies and discovery platforms.
- Designing experiments, analysing complex datasets and translating research findings into actionable scientific decisions.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across target biology, pharmacology, protein science and manufacturing.
- Providing scientific guidance to junior researchers and contributing to the direction of research projects.
The Talent
- PhD in Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Biology, Information Science or a related discipline.
- Strong research expertise in protein engineering, antibody engineering, structural biology, protein biochemistry or a closely related field.
- Strong ability to design experiments, interpret data and independently drive research projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary research environment.
- Strong scientific track record demonstrated through research projects, publications, presentations and/or patents.
