Application Engineer (Kinetic Power Unit)

Opportunity:

A leading provider of high-performance power and propulsion solutions in the Asia-Pacific region, the organisation delivers reliable engines, decentralized energy systems, and electrification solutions across industries such as marine, energy, infrastructure, and defense.

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support both pre-sales and project execution activities. In this role, you will act as the technical interface between customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders, ensuring the successful delivery of engineered solutions across the region.

You will be involved in technical proposal development, system design support, and commissioning activities, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for pre-sales activities, including preparation of proposals and quotations
• Respond to customer technical queries related to system design and project execution
• Support installation and commissioning of systems at customer sites
• ·      Apply knowledge of engineering systems, components, and interfaces to develop effective solutions
• Design and review system configurations using sound engineering principles
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for technical issues
• Support technical investigations, quality issues, and system improvement initiatives
• Ensure proper management of system requirements and documentation
• Participate in engineering change management and technical reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success
• Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders at all levels

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in engineering, applications, or technical support
• Experience in power systems, industrial equipment, or related sectors
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems (MV/LV) and system integration
• bility to interpret technical drawings (e.g., single-line diagrams)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
• Customer-oriented mindset with commercial awareness
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
