About The Client

Our client is a bathroom product manufacturer based in the West Midlands, England.

The Challenge

Our client first contacted us through the Adecco website, as they were looking for a new recruitment agency to help them fill four temporary hybrid Warehouse and Driver roles at their facility.

Previously, the client had worked with a separate recruitment agency, but they were looking for a more productive partnership following an unsatisfactory experience.

Historically, the client’s hiring manager was responsible for the entire recruitment process. However, they were struggling to find time for other core tasks in the face of a time-consuming process. They were also experiencing a high number of dropouts.

The client needed a recruitment partner who could reduce the recruitment burden on their internal team and help to quickly source quality candidates.

Our Solution

Our team arranged an initial call with the client to discuss their needs and what they were looking for in a new partner.

Two of our recruitment consultants then visited the hiring manager on-site, including a tour the warehouse facilities.

Our consultants came prepared with a bank of suitably skilled candidates with whom they had already spoken to discuss the roles and confirm availability. This proactive approach meant that they were able to organise interviews with the client for the same day.

The successful candidates commenced work the following day, providing the client with a fast, 24-hour turnaround. The client was impressed by our ability to quickly source candidates, which ultimately saved them time and helped contribute to business-critical operations without delay.

Overcoming Challenges

One of the successful candidates dropped out during the first week in their new role.

Our team managed all communications with the candidate and took the time to understand why the role had not been suitable for them. To avoid future dropouts, we used this feedback to inform the content of future job adverts and added additional questions to our screening calls to ensure candidates knew what the role would entail.

Following this, future candidates have excelled in their new roles without issue.

Outcomes

We maintain an open dialogue with the client and candidates to ensure they are happy and receiving all the support they need.

Positive feedback from the client states that the candidates have a high work ethic, are polite, and are quick to learn. They have also expressed their confidence in trusting them to engage with customers despite being in their new roles for a short time.

Key Results

  • Four placements made within 24 hours.
  • Quickly adapted the recruitment process following a dropout.
