Overall, Purpose of Job

To provide effective technical, administrative and project support to the Damp & Mould Team, helping to ensure that damp, mould and condensation cases are identified, tracked and resolved within required timescales.

The role will support surveyors and technical officers with case coordination, works monitoring, contractor liaison, data management and reporting, ensuring accurate records and appropriate escalation of outstanding or high-risk cases. The role will contribute to the Council's compliance with Awaab's Law, housing standards and its wider responsibilities for maintaining safe and healthy homes.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

• Provide day-to-day technical and administrative support to Damp & Mould Surveyors and other technical officers.


• Assist with coordinating property inspections, surveys, follow-up visits and remedial works.


• Maintain accurate records of damp, mould and condensation cases from initial referral through to completion and closure.


• Review case information to identify missing surveys, works orders, photographs, inspection records or other supporting evidence.


• Support the monitoring of recommendations arising from property inspections and surveys.

Assist with coordinating more complex cases involving recurring damp and mould, leaks, ventilation, condensation or potential building defects

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience of providing technical, project or administrative support within housing repairs, maintenance, asset management or a similar property environment.


• Good understanding of repairs and maintenance processes.


• Ability to coordinate and track a high volume of cases and actions.


• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.


• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and housing/property management systems.
