The Challenge
In 2021, Adecco partnered with the client to provide a fully outsourced mobile field operation.
At the time, the client operated their own digital surveying team, which consisted of permanent and contractor staffing responsible for measuring properties and providing accurate information to the client.
The client had committed time and resources to managing the team but wanted to improve their approach to maintaining a reliably skilled workforce and successfully monitoring worker performance. They were also experiencing high attrition and worker absence.
The client needed a partner who could take responsibility for improving and optimising the team while relieving the management burden on the business. The client had also experienced recent growth within the UK and internationally and needed a best-in-class mobile field operations team to support this.
Adecco agreed to implement a fully outsourced solution, taking ownership of delivering, managing, operating, and improving the team by drawing on our own internal expertise and bank of specialist consultants.Our Solution
Adecco assumed responsibility for staffing, management, job scheduling, and team performance under a fully outsourced solution.
Following discussions with the client, we agreed on a field team structure consisting of 50 x Digital Surveyors working under 4 x Team Leaders, reporting to 1 x Operations Manager. 2 x Schedulers would also support the team’s mobile operations.
To maximise mobility and ensure a fast service, each Digital Surveyor was provided with an electric moped and trained on how to use the client’s technology and tools so they could provide accurate information to the client. Adecco also closely maintained the electric moped fleet, ensuring workers could always access reliable transportation.
