Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with German to join an international shared service environment. The role focuses on end-to-end accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, supporting month-end closing, and working closely with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries in line with accounting standards
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support and actively participate in month-end closing and reporting activities
• Ensure proper accruals and cut-off procedures are applied
• Reconcile and validate data across different financial systems
• Handle and reconcile intercompany transactions
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data
• Collaborate closely with AP, AR, and other internal stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency
• Mentor and support junior accountants, providing guidance and knowledge sharing

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in accounting within an SSC or international company
• Good understanding of accounting processes and month-end closing
• Experience with international accounting standards (IFRS/ US GAAP)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• German and English language proficiency (B2–C1)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills
• Team player with a proactive and adaptable mindset
