System Performance Architect

We are looking for a System Performance Architect in Amsterdam. In this role, you will help drive the performance strategy for a next-generation operating system. You will work on hardware-software optimization, system scheduling, and application performance improvements to deliver an outstanding user experience. As a System Performance Architect, you will play a key role in designing and improving system performance across the entire platform.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing hardware-software-chip optimization solutions for system performance and resource scheduling
• Improving CPU, GPU, and memory (DDR) scheduling, including priority management, task allocation, core selection, and frequency scaling
• Creating solutions that balance performance, power consumption, and thermal efficiency across devices
• Optimizing application performance at the operating system level and resolving critical performance bottlenecks
• Enhancing application responsiveness, animation smoothness, and overall user experience
• Designing high-performance application frameworks and development solutions
• Researching industry trends and emerging technologies to help define the future performance roadmap of the platform

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in operating systems and performance optimization.

• 5-10 years of experience with operating system performance optimization, system scheduling, kernel development, or hardware-software co-optimization
• Knowledge of CPU, GPU, and memory scheduling, including resource management, task prioritization, core allocation, and frequency scaling
• Strong understanding of performance, power consumption, and thermal management strategies
• Experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in operating systems, applications, or core system components
• Familiarity with high-performance application development, APIs, runtime optimization, and framework design
• The ability to analyze new technologies, industry trends, and academic research and translate them into practical solutions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
