For our client Nouryon in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Logistics Specialist Road & Rail Europe for a temporary assignment of at least 6 months.

In this role, you will play an essential part in the daily logistics operation, ensuring products are transported safely, delivered on time, and meet the agreed service and compliance standards.

During the first 2 to 3 months, you will primarily be based at the company's location in Amersfoort. After this period, you will transition to Nouryon's European headquarters in Amsterdam.

You will work closely with carriers, customer service teams, supply chain colleagues, and logistics sites across Europe. This is a dynamic role in which no two days are the same, and your contribution will be key to ensuring smooth and efficient logistics operations.

As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of road and rail shipments across Europe. You will work closely with carriers, customer service teams, site logistics and supply chain colleagues to ensure products are transported safely, efficiently and on time.

Your responsibilities include:

• Planning, coordinating and monitoring European road and rail shipments;
• Booking transportation and maintaining shipment information in logistics systems;
• Preparing and handling transport documentation;
• Proactively resolving operational issues, delays and transportation incidents;
• Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and service standards;
• Communicating with carriers and internal stakeholders regarding transport planning;
• Monitoring logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery and service levels;
• Supporting process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.

A temporary assignment of at least 6 months through Adecco;

Competitive salary between €2,600 and €3,300 gross per month based on full-time employment;

• Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field;
• Understanding of transportation and logistics processes;
• Experience with ERP, TMS or similar logistics systems;
• Strong organizational and communication skills;
• Hands-on and proactive mindset;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment;
• Excellent command of English;
• Availability for a minimum period of 6 months.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP, TMS or WMS systems;
• Knowledge of ADR regulations or temperature-controlled transportation;
• Dutch language skills.
