Do you enjoy solving complex planning challenges and improving supply chain performance through strategic, data-driven decisions?

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Planner who will help develop and optimize long-term planning strategies within a complex international supply chain environment. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders to improve material availability, inventory performance, and overall planning efficiency.

What are you going to do?

As a Senior Business Planner, you will focus on strategic supply chain planning rather than day-to-day operational activities. You will take ownership of planning initiatives, help improve existing processes, and support long-term supply chain resilience, agility, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining demand and supply forecasts across a 0–24 month horizon;
  • Providing reliable planning signals to suppliers and internal stakeholders;
  • Supporting capacity investment decisions with a 1–3 year planning horizon;
  • Defining buffer strategies and inventory policies;
  • Conducting excess and obsolescence (E&O) risk assessments;
  • Identifying and resolving planning inefficiencies and overplanning;
  • Optimizing planning parameters, methodologies, and policies;
  • Supporting the selection of appropriate planning approaches, including manual planning and MRP;
  • Introducing improvements such as demand leveling and other planning optimization initiatives;
  • Driving continuous improvement across planning processes;
  • Working closely with demand planning, supplier management, product lifecycle, and production teams;
  • Facilitating alignment on supply plans and corrective actions;
  • Taking ownership of projects and influencing stakeholders across different areas of the organization.

What do we offer?
  • A salary of €3,450 gross per month based on a 40-hour contract;
  • Initial contract duration: 8 months, with a possibility of extension;
  • Client location: Veldhoven, Netherlands;
  • 25 vacation days;
  • 8.33% holiday allowance;
  • Pension plan from day one;
  • Access to internal and external learning platforms for continuous professional development;
  • Opportunity to work in an international environment focused on complex supply chain planning and transformation.

Please note:

  • For locally based employees: 2 days per week at the client office and 3 days working remotely;
  • For nearshore employees: 2 weeks per month working from the client office and 2 weeks per month remotely.

Where will you work?

You will work in an international environment supporting complex supply chain planning activities. The role involves close collaboration with different business functions and stakeholders, with a strong focus on strategic planning, process optimization, material availability, and continuous improvement.

What do we ask?
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in strategic supply chain planning, S&OP, and production scheduling;
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP, IBP, APO, and HANA;
  • Strong understanding of ERP and MRP planning logic;
  • Experience with forecasting, scenario planning, and planning optimization;
  • Experience leading projects and managing multiple stakeholders;
  • Strong business understanding, including the impact of planning decisions on working capital, cost of goods sold, and service levels;
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting planning and business data;
  • Experience using Excel and Power BI;
  • Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and influence decisions without direct authority;
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership;
  • Proactive, resilient, and improvement-focused mindset;
  • Fluent English.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working across different stages of the product lifecycle;
  • Strong customer-focused mindset;
  • Experience improving planning parameters, policies, and methodologies;
  • Ability to identify opportunities for supply chain transformation and process improvement;
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous and changing environment;
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to challenge existing ways of working.
