At Maersk on Maasvlakte II, you have the opportunity to take the next step towards becoming an Empty Container Handler Driver.

You'll operate container handling equipment to move, load and stack empty containers within the depot. It's a great opportunity for an experienced forklift driver who wants to develop their skills and work with larger equipment in the Port of Rotterdam.

As an Empty Container Handler Driver, you help keep container movements within the depot safe and efficient.

Your responsibilities include:

• Loading, unloading and transporting empty containers;
• Operating container handling equipment safely;
• Stacking containers accurately and efficiently;
• Inspecting containers for damage, cleanliness and correct labelling;
• Using a tablet to process information accurately;
• Coordinating container movements with your colleagues;
• Checking equipment to ensure safe operation;
• Reporting malfunctions and safety issues.

In short: take your forklift experience to the next level and move into heavy container handling.

You can expect:

• A starting salary of €18.18 gross per hour, increasing up to €20.65 per hour depending on experience;
• 14% allowance for every hour worked;
• €0.25 per kilometre travel allowance;
• 29 vacation days based on full-time employment;
• 8.33% holiday allowance;

You'll work at Maersk on Maasvlakte II, in an operational container environment where safety, teamwork and efficient container movements are essential.

Safety is essential when working with heavy equipment. That's why we're looking for someone who is experienced, responsible and comfortable working in an operational environment.

You:

• Have experience operating container handling equipment or similar machinery;
• Understand container handling and safety procedures;
• Speak English or Dutch;
• Are physically capable of performing demanding work and working outdoors;
• Work accurately and always keep safety in mind;
• Have a VCA Basic certificate or are willing to obtain one;
• Are willing to apply for a Certificate of Conduct (VOG);
• Have your own transport to reach Maasvlakte II.
