In this role, you combine container inspections, driver contact and administrative work. You make sure everything entering and leaving the site is checked and registered correctly. A responsible and varied position where you are right at the heart of the logistics operation.

As a Gate Inspector, you are an important point of contact at the gate. Drivers report to you, and you make sure the process runs smoothly, safely and accurately.

Your responsibilities include:

• Welcoming and assisting drivers at the gate;
• Checking containers for damage, cleanliness and irregularities;
• Registering container details and inspection results;
• Processing the related administration accurately;
• Checking whether information and documentation are correct;
• Reporting damage or discrepancies when you notice them;
• Working together with colleagues to keep the gate process running smoothly.

In short: you make sure containers and drivers can continue their journey with everything properly checked and registered.

Your work and responsibility should be rewarded accordingly. You can expect:

• €18.18 - €20.65 gross per hour, depending on your experience;
• 14% allowance for every hour worked;
• €0.25 per kilometre travel allowance;
• 29 vacation days based on full-time employment;
• 8.33% holiday allowance;

Through Adecco, you will work at Maersk on Maasvlakte II in Rotterdam.

Here, you will become part of an international logistics environment where containers, trucks and people come together every day. Your role at the gate is an important part of that operation.

You won't spend your entire day behind a desk. You will combine administration with inspections, responsibility and contact with drivers and colleagues.

You don't need to know everything about containers from day one. What matters is that you are accurate, responsible and confident when communicating with others.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous administrative work experience or relevant education;
• Works accurately and notices when something doesn't look right;
• Is comfortable working independently;
• Enjoys working as part of a team;
• Can communicate in Dutch and English;
• Is willing to apply for a VOG;
• Has their own transport to reach Maasvlakte II.

Experience with business systems and a VCA Basic certificate are an advantage.
