Control cabinet technician

Are you technically skilled, work accurately, and are you comfortable working from technical drawings? Then we have a great opportunity for you! For VDL Energy Systems in Born, we are looking for experienced control cabinet assemblers who are excited to work with the technology of the future.

As a Control cabinet technician, you will contribute to the assembly of modules in which large batteries are installed. You will be responsible for assembling and connecting various electrical components, such as:

• Switchgear
• Transformers
• Inverters
• Other electrical components

You will work accurately based on technical drawings. Since the products must be delivered 100% correctly, it is important that you are able to thoroughly check your own work. If you are unsure about something, you are expected to ask for help immediately.

You will start as part of a team, with the ultimate goal of being able to work independently and stand-alone.

• A full-time position working day shifts;
• Working hours between 07:00 and 15:45;
• Hourly wage of €17,31;

• You have an electrical engineering background;
• You have experience as a Control Cabinet Technician or in a similar technical role;
• You are able to read technical drawings;
• You work accurately and pay close attention to detail;
• You are reliable and keep your commitments;
• You are able to work independently and take responsibility for your own work;
• You are not afraid to ask questions or speak up when something is not right;
• You are willing to work overtime when necessary.
