About This Role
The Sales & Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building long-term customer relationships within the packaging industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, capable of identifying new business opportunities, developing sales strategies, and leading customer engagements. The ideal candidate understands the dynamics of the packaging market, customer needs, and emerging industry trends such as sustainability, automation, and material innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Packaging Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the packaging industry (flexible packaging, corrugated, rigid plastics, labeling, sustainable materials, etc.).
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, production processes, and customer requirements.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop long-term strategic partnerships with customers.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and market share targets.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals and after‑sales support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and partners.
- Identify new business opportunities in target segments (FMCG, food & beverage, industrial, healthcare, e-commerce, etc.).
- Conduct market analysis to understand customer needs, competitor offerings, and industry trends.
- Propose strategic solutions and customized packaging offerings to meet customer requirements.
- Customer Engagement & Account Management
- Provide product presentations, technical consultations, and commercial proposals.
- Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, production, supply chain, quality) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage pricing, contract negotiations, and customer feedback loops to improve service quality.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and pipeline reports for management review.
- Monitor market trends and recommend strategic actions for new product development or market expansion.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows.
