Senior Mechanical Engineer (Data Center)

About The Company

Our partner is an international company specializing in the development and operation of hyperscale data centres. They are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to oversee mechanical systems and ensure quality, reliability, and performance across major data centre projects.

Work Location: Rayong

They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with at least 6 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and building services, ideally with a background in data centre or other mission-critical projects. The candidate should have experience in design review, construction, and commissioning, with good Thai and English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support mechanical engineering activities from design development through construction and project handover.
• Evaluate mechanical designs and technical proposals to ensure they meet project requirements, engineering standards, and performance expectations.
• Work closely with design consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to resolve technical issues and keep project deliverables on track.
• Monitor on-site installation and construction progress, ensuring mechanical systems are implemented according to approved designs and quality standards.
• Provide technical oversight of HVAC and plumbing systems, with a focus on the specific requirements of data centre environments.
• Contribute to commissioning activities to ensure mechanical systems are ready for operation.
• Support the development and improvement of engineering guidelines and technical procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience in mechanical building services, engineering design, or construction project delivery.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Experience in data centre or other mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CFD studies and HVAC design software, such as IES, is an advantage.
• Professional engineering qualifications or relevant Uptime Institute/TIA certifications are a plus.
• Good command of both Thai and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with local project teams and international stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
