Adecco is recruiting a Test Automation Engineer for a client based in Auckland. In this position, you will focus on designing and implementing automated testing frameworks for APIs and integrations that support complex enterprise solutions. The role involves system, integration, and end-to-end testing, with a strong emphasis on managing the defect lifecycle and collaborating closely with engineering teams. You will work in environments that may include large-scale CRM or enterprise transformation initiatives, where test coverage and reliability are critical to successful delivery. This opportunity is suitable for experienced test automation professionals who have worked in financial services or other regulated environments and who are comfortable contributing to continuous improvement in testing practices.

Your Skills

• Strong background in Integration and API test automation, covering functional, regression, and performance aspects where applicable.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline integration, embedding automated tests into continuous delivery workflows.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Cloud and middleware testing, including validation of integrations, configurations, and environment dependencies.
• Proficiency with Defect management tools, using them to document, prioritize, and monitor issues throughout the lifecycle.
• Solid understanding of Agile testing practices, collaborating within cross-functional Agile teams to align testing with iterative delivery.
• 7+ years relevant industry experience in software testing and test automation within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience delivering large-scale CRM or enterprise transformation initiatives, contributing to quality assurance across multiple workstreams.
• Financial services or regulated environment experience preferred, bringing familiarity with compliance, audit, and risk considerations.

What You Will Do?

• Design and implement automated testing frameworks for APIs and integrations, ensuring maintainability and scalability across complex enterprise systems.
• Execute system, integration and end-to-end tests to validate solution behavior across multiple components and platforms.
• Manage the full defect lifecycle including triage, tracking, communication, and resolution with relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve testability, providing feedback on architecture, design, and implementation decisions.
• Continuously enhance test coverage and reliability by refining test suites and incorporating new automation capabilities.
