Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in civil construction, infrastructure, or a related field (entry-level to senior)
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices, with a commitment to maintaining safe work environments
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying conditions (where applicable)
  • Good communication skills, able to follow instructions and collaborate with team members and stakeholders
  • Relevant licences or certifications (e.g., driver’s licence, WTR, Class 2–5, Site Safe, or engineering qualifications)
  • Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude on site
  • Ability to read and interpret plans or technical information (for more skilled roles)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Willingness to learn, upskill, and adapt across a variety of tasks and projects


Tasks include but are not limited to the below:


Labourers

  • Assist with general site preparation, including clearing, digging, and levelling ground
  • Load and unload construction materials and equipment
  • Support tradespeople and machine operators as required
  • Perform basic manual tasks such as trenching, backfilling, and concreting
  • Maintain a clean and safe worksite
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and site instructions

Truck Drivers

  • Operate tipper trucks and other heavy vehicles to transport materials
  • Deliver aggregates, soil, and equipment to and from job sites
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
  • Ensure loads are secured and compliant with safety regulations
  • Complete delivery documentation and logbooks accurately
  • Communicate effectively with site teams and dispatch

Project Managers

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee civil construction projects from start to finish
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Monitor project progress and prepare status reports
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery

Machine Operators

  • Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, rollers, and graders
  • Carry out earthworks, trenching, and material handling tasks
  • Conduct pre-start checks and basic equipment maintenance
  • Work to site plans and follow precise instructions
  • Maintain safe operation of machinery at all times
  • Collaborate with ground crews and supervisors

Engineering (Civil Engineers / Site Engineers)

  • Assist with design, planning, and execution of civil projects
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and technical plans
  • Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks
  • Provide technical guidance to site teams
  • Monitor compliance with engineering standards and regulations
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and project records
