Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Sanitation Associate to join our client’s manufacturing team in Belleville, ON. In this position you will play a key role in ensuring the facility remains clean, safe, and compliant with food manufacturing standards. You will be responsible for performing routine and specialized sanitation activities, maintaining equipment hygiene, and supporting the safety and quality expectations of a food production environment.
Pay Rate: $20.50/hour

Responsibilities:
Perform routine facility cleaning including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and removing waste.
Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble food-processing equipment as needed along production lines.
Maintain washrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure cleanliness is sustained throughout the day.
Complete daily sanitation records as outlined in the Master Cleaning Schedule.
Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure sanitation activities follow the Master Sanitation Schedule.
Integrate special or rotational cleaning tasks into daily responsibilities when required.
Understand and follow all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) related to approved chemical products and ensure safe handling procedures.
Support outdoor safety efforts, including snow removal and de-icing when applicable.
Operate cleaning equipment such as riding sweepers and floor scrubbers.
Complete required sanitation documentation, support data collection, and assist with reporting.
Identify sanitation-related issues and assist in troubleshooting or cleaning production lines.
Follow all company policies related to occupational health and safety, food safety, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements.
Follow the company Integrated Management System across Production, Quality, Food Safety, and GMP protocols.
Perform other sanitation or general duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED certificate required.
Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment.
Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and relevant inspection procedures.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality work standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Previous experience in manufacturing or an industrial environment is an asset.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
