Adecco is currently hiring a Safety Trainer for a temporary-to-permanent opportunity in Saint John, NB. This position is ideal for an experienced safety professional who is passionate about delivering engaging, hands-on training and promoting safe work practices across industrial and construction environments.

In this role, you will deliver a wide range of safety training programs, inspire a strong safety culture, and help organizations maintain safe, compliant, and productive workplaces.   • Pay Rate: $25/hour

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging classroom and practical safety training programs for industrial and construction professionals.

  • Facilitate training in key areas including:

    • Rigging

    • Overhead Crane

    • Fall Protection

    • Forklift Operation

    • Confined Space Awareness, Rescue, and Attendant

    • Elevated Work Platform (EWP)

    • Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)

    • Standard First Aid and CPR

  • Provide additional instruction in safety topics such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), asbestos awareness, respiratory protection, gas detection, and respirator fit testing as required.

  • Monitor, encourage, and reinforce safe work practices and behaviours throughout all training activities.

  • Adapt training delivery to meet participant needs while ensuring compliance with applicable safety regulations and standards.

  • Assess workplace risks and incorporate practical, real-world scenarios into training sessions.

  • Travel to customer locations as required to deliver on-site training.

  • Maintain training records and ensure all course materials remain current and compliant.

  • Support the continuous improvement of safety programs and training curriculum.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • Proven experience delivering safety training within industrial or construction environments.

  • Experience in safety training, rescue operations, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to assess risks and adapt training methods to different audiences and work environments.

  • Valid driver's license with willingness to travel as required.

  • Ability to teach multiple courses across a broad safety curriculum.

  • Instructor certifications for Working at Heights, Confined Space, Forklift, First Aid, or other safety-related programs are considered strong assets. Train-the-Trainer opportunities may be provided.

  • First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.

  • Experience working in industrial environments is considered an asset.

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
