Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Reliability & Safety Engineer for a 12-month full-time contract opportunity in Ajax, ON.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading aerospace organization specializing in the design and development of advanced aircraft landing gear systems. You will work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to support the development, certification, reliability, safety, and performance of fully integrated aircraft systems.
As this role is subject to the Canadian Government's Controlled Goods Program (CGP) the qualifying applicants must possess Canadian Citizenship or permanent residency status. A work permit status is not eligible for this role.
Pay Rate: $60.00 - $75.00/hour
Location: Ajax, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday | 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities:
Reliability & Safety Engineering
Perform reliability, safety, and maintainability analyses for aircraft landing gear systems, associated components, and electronic control units
Conduct reliability predictions, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and related safety assessments
Develop and support system safety requirements throughout the product development lifecycle
Evaluate system architectures from a safety, reliability, and maintainability perspective
Systems Development & Certification
Participate in multidisciplinary engineering teams to define system-level reliability and safety requirements
Support aircraft certification activities and compliance initiatives
Assist in the development and validation of safety cases and certification documentation
Review and assess technical documentation from suppliers and partners
Technical Collaboration
Work closely with internal engineering teams, suppliers, and customers to support program objectives
Obtain reliability and safety data from equipment suppliers
Participate in technical reviews and design assessments
Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports for customers and stakeholders
Continuous Improvement
Support the development of innovative engineering solutions that improve system reliability and safety
Contribute to risk assessments and technical trade studies
Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace regulations, standards, and industry best practices
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering (aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering Physics, Engineering Science)
6-10 years of experience in reliability engineering, safety engineering, aerospace systems engineering, or a related field
Experience supporting complex aerospace, aviation, defense, or transportation programs
Previous experience with aircraft systems certification activities is considered a strong asset
Strong understanding of reliability, safety, and maintainability engineering principles
Experience performing Reliability Predictions, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Safety Assessments
Knowledge of FAR 25.1309 and SAE ARP4754A / ARP4761 preferred
Familiarity with RTCA DO-178B/C standards considered an asset
Experience with Model-Based Safety Analysis considered an asset
Understanding of aerospace regulations, airworthiness requirements, and certification processes
Experience using reliability and safety analysis tools such as CAFTA, RELEX, ITEM and equivalent R&S software
Experience with DOORS requirements management software is considered an asset
Strong computer and technical documentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, safety, and technical excellence
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
