Quality Inspector - API Threading

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Quality Inspector - API Threading for our client in Nisku, AB.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machining and quality professional to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment.You will be responsible for inspecting precision-machined components, validating compliance with customer and API specifications, and supporting threading operations to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance.
You will bring strong CNC machining knowledge, API thread inspection experience, and the ability to mentor team members while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Pay Rate: $27.00 - $30.00/hour

Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection
Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections on CNC-machined components
Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
Verify compliance with engineering drawings, customer requirements, API specifications, and quality standards
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
API Threading & Technical Support
Perform API thread inspections and verify thread quality using approved gauges and inspection equipment
Support and guide threading operations to ensure tooling, setups, and processes meet required specifications
Provide technical expertise related to API threading standards and quality requirements
Mentor production personnel on quality and threading best practices
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
Investigate non-conformances and support corrective and preventive actions
Participate in root cause analysis activities
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency
Support quality audits and maintain compliance with quality management system requirements
Collaboration & Compliance
Work closely with machinists, operators, and production teams to resolve quality concerns
Support calibration activities and ensure inspection equipment remains compliant
Promote safe work practices and maintain a strong safety culture
Ensure compliance with company quality systems and customer requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong experience in CNC machining, quality inspection, or quality control roles
Experience inspecting API threads and threaded oilfield components
Solid understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing methods
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection equipment
Experience with quality management systems and inspection documentation
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and lead quality-related initiatives
Knowledge of API Q1 and/or API Spec 7-2
NACE awareness or related industry certifications
Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
Journeyperson Machinist certification or equivalent manufacturing experience
Previous lead hand, trainer, or supervisory experience
Oilfield manufacturing experience is considered a strong asset
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
