Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Press Operator for our client in Elora, ON. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working in a manufacturing environment and take pride in producing quality products while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
As a Press Operator, you will work as part of a production team operating rubber press equipment, performing quality inspections, handling materials, and supporting manufacturing operations to meet production targets and customer requirements.
Pay Rate: $23.50 - $26.50/hour
Location: Elora, ON
Shift: Rotational Continental Shifts | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM OR 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Responsibilities:
Production Operations
Work collaboratively with a team of press operators to meet daily production objectives
Follow production schedules, routers, and work instructions
Load and unload rubber materials into press equipment using forklifts
Ensure raw materials are available and properly prepared for production
Monitor production processes to maintain efficiency and product quality
Quality Control
Perform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
Conduct pre-use audits and quality checklist verifications
Inspect finished products for quality, appearance, and conformance to specifications
Segregate and report suspect parts for quality verification
Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) accurately and thoroughly
Ensure all production documentation is completed correctly
Material Handling & Equipment Operation
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
Perform daily pre-start inspections on forklifts and cranes
Verify raw material weights prior to loading presses
Label products accurately and ensure proper product identification
Trim and finish products to meet quality standards
Safety & Housekeeping
Follow all health and safety procedures and wear required PPE
Report safety concerns and incidents immediately
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Support compliance with ISO 9001 standards and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Mechanically inclined with an interest in production equipment and processes
Understanding of quality standards and manufacturing best practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work rotating continental shifts, including days and nights
Forklift experience is considered an asset
Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
