Materials Analyst

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Materials Analyst for our client in Kanata, ON.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced materials and inventory professional to support day-to-day warehouse, inventory control, and materials management operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will help ensure inventory accuracy, quality compliance, on-time material availability, and operational efficiency while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with Production Scheduling, Quality Engineering, Shipping & Receiving, Buyers, Suppliers, and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Pay Rate: $43.60/hour
Location: Kanata, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:
Materials Operations & Inventory Management
Receive, inspect, and put away materials according to site procedures
Pick, kit, and issue materials to support production requirements
Process stock transfers and outbound deliveries accurately and on schedule
Support material replenishment activities and inventory availability
Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material handling practices
Inventory Control & Compliance
Perform cycle counts and inventory audits
Support shelf-life control activities and inventory monitoring
Investigate inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions
Process scrap materials in accordance with approved procedures
Participate in annual physical inventory activities
Quality & Non-Conforming Material Management
Support containment, quarantine, and disposition activities for non-conforming materials
Ensure compliance with quality requirements and documentation processes
Follow material traceability and record retention standards
Continuous Improvement
Replenish KANBAN two-bin systems and escalate shortages when necessary
Participate in Stores 5S initiatives and workplace organization programs
Support excess inventory reduction initiatives
Contribute to lean manufacturing and operational improvement projects
Assist with additional materials management activities as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
College diploma in Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, materials management, logistics, or related discipline
Working knowledge of SAP
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business systems
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience supporting inventory accuracy and warehouse processes
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is considered an asset
Aerospace industry experience is considered an asset
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Clearance
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
