Hilift Operator

Adecco is currently hiring a Hilift Operator for a full-time opportunity in Dartmouth, NS. This role is ideal for a reliable and detail-oriented warehouse professional with forklift experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution environment.

In this position, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders, operating warehouse equipment, inspecting products, and ensuring completed orders are properly staged for shipping.

• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

• Location: Dartmouth, NS

• Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

• Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary with potential to become permanent

Responsibilities

• Select customer orders accurately using pick lists, RF scanners, or voice-picking systems.

• Pick products according to item number, description, and required quantity.

• Stack, wrap, and label pallets or cartons according to established company standards.

• Transport completed orders to designated staging or shipping areas.

• Inspect products for damage, defects, or other quality concerns.

• Ensure orders are complete and accurate before they are moved to the shipping area.

• Safely operate forklifts and other authorized material handling equipment as required.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

• Follow all warehouse safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and company policies.

• Meet established productivity, accuracy, and attendance standards.

• Communicate product shortages, damages, discrepancies, or picking errors to supervisors promptly.

• Collaborate with warehouse team members to support efficient daily operations.

• Assist with additional warehouse and material handling duties as required.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work and reside in Canada.

• Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience.

• Previous warehouse, order picking, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience is considered an asset.

• Experience using RF scanners, pick lists, or voice-picking systems is considered an asset.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.

• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow established safety procedures.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to attendance.

• Good organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Strong communication skills and ability to promptly report inventory or order discrepancies.
