Electrical Assembly Technician

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Electrical Assembly Technician for an opportunity in a manufacturing environment for our client in Ottawa, ON. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in panel wiring, inverter testing, electrical assembly, control panels, and electronics manufacturing.

You will be responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and inspecting electrical components and systems while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and production efficiency.

• Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

• Location: Ottawa, ON

• Shift: Monday to Friday | Day and Evening shifts available

• Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Assemble electrical and electronic components according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

• Wire and test control panels, power panels, and inverter systems.

• Operate manufacturing equipment and use pneumatic and hand tools safely.

• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Perform in-process inspections and product quality checks.

• Support inventory control, cycle counting, and production documentation.

• Identify and escalate quality, production, or technical issues as required.

• Apply engineering change orders (ECOs) and follow established manufacturing procedures.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

• Support continuous improvement and production objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in panel wiring, inverter testing, electrical assembly, or electronics manufacturing.

• Nationally recognized certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, Panel Wiring, or a related field.

• IPC 620 certification required or considered a strong asset.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

• Experience wiring and testing both control panels and power panels.

• Knowledge of cable sizing, cable routing, crimping, cable termination, and soldering techniques.

• Ability to identify, separate, terminate, and label control and power wiring.

• Experience performing product testing and in-process inspections.

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and manufacturing software systems.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality and safety.

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
