Adecco is currently hiring a part-time Community Driver to provide safe, reliable, and compliant transportation services supporting Child and Family Services programs within a First Nation community.
This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused and community-minded individual who enjoys working with youth, families, and community members. You will be responsible for operating a fleet of vehicles, ensuring passenger safety, maintaining accurate records, and supporting community programming through dependable transportation services.
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Location: Gold River, BC
Shift: Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Job type: Permanent | Part-time (Potential for Full-Time)
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a fleet of vans and electric vehicles (EVs) to support Child and Family Services programs.
Transport youth, families, staff, and community members in a professional and respectful manner.
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, safety policies, and operational procedures.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
Coordinate transportation schedules with program staff and administrative personnel.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, trip logs, and passenger information.
Report vehicle incidents, maintenance concerns, or safety issues promptly.
Participate in safety training and emergency response exercises as required.
Promote a safe and positive experience for all passengers.
Support the organization's commitment to community service and cultural respect.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid BC Class 4 Driver's License required.
License upgrading support may be available for qualified candidates.
Clean driver's abstract and satisfactory criminal record check.
Previous professional driving, transportation, shuttle, or community support experience preferred.
Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Experience working with Indigenous communities is considered a strong asset.
Reliable, flexible, and customer-service focused.
Driving in various environments including urban, rural, and remote locations.
Exposure to varying weather and road conditions.
Flexible schedule based on program and community needs.
Part-time hours with the potential to transition into a full-time position.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
