CNC Setup Technician

Adecco is currently hiring a CNC Setup Technician for a full-time opportunity with a growing manufacturing organization in Markham, ON. This role is ideal for an experienced CNC professional with expertise in CNC mill setup, tooling, GD&T, precision measurement, CNC programming, and advanced machining operations.
In this role, you will set up and support Vertical and Horizontal 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machining centers while ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards are consistently met.
Pay Rate: $28 - $35/hour + $5 night premium
Location: Markham, ON

Responsibilities:
Set up, tool, and prepare 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machining centers for production.
Prepare jobs and support CNC operators during production runs.
Edit CNC programs as required to support quality and production objectives.
Utilize SPC methods to monitor and maintain process performance.
Complete production, quality, and inspection documentation accurately.
Perform preventative maintenance, including fluid checks and filter inspections.
Operate manual machines and support machining operations as required.
Collaborate with Lead Hands, Setup Technicians, and Operators to meet production targets.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 5 years of CNC Mill Setup experience.
Strong knowledge of inspection and precision measuring equipment.
Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
CNC programming experience is considered an asset.
Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls is considered an asset.
Red Seal, Skilled Trades Certification, or Trade Ticket is considered an asset.
Post-secondary education in machining, manufacturing, or a related technical field is considered an asset.
Must be available to work the Continental Night Shift.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
