Adecco Romania is recruiting, on behalf of its client – a major player in the vehicle and motorcycle import market – an Accountant to join its Finance team in Bucharest.


About the Role

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, financial and tax reporting, fixed asset management, and supporting audit and compliance processes. You will work closely with the Finance Director, the Head of Business Administration and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records and efficient financial processes.

  • University degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in accounting and solid knowledge of local accounting regulations.
  • Knowledge of IFRS is considered a plus.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Oracle is considered an advantage.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong perseverance, flexibility, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Dynamic, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.


  • Record and verify bank statements and employee expense reports.
  • Process and record Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
  • Record and monitor inventory-related transactions.
  • Prepare monthly fiscal statements in accordance with local accounting and tax requirements.
  • Prepare reports on overdue receivables and aged inventory.
  • Manage fixed assets, including registration in Oracle, maintenance of records, and depreciation booking.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for annual statutory audits and internal audits.
  • Participate in the preparation of the company's annual statutory financial statements.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reports for Steering Committee members, under the coordination of the Head of Business Administration.
  • Prepare risk and compliance reports requested by headquarters.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal procedures and policies.
