SAP S/4 Security Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer (Finance) to design, implement, and manage security solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments, with a focus on Finance modules.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Security, including role design, access control, and governance aligned with financial systems such as Central Finance (CFIN) or Group Reporting.

This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, audit/control teams, and IT to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient access management across SAP systems.

• Proven experience in at least one full SAP Security implementation
• Mandatory experience with Central Finance (CFIN) or Group Reporting security design
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Security, including roles and authorizations
• Solid understanding of RBAC, SoD, and audit compliance frameworks
• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, and SAP Cloud Security
• Familiarity with IAM/IGA tools (e.g., Saviynt, SAP IDM, ForgeRock)
• Ability to work independently and engage effectively with business stakeholders
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in managing role catalogues and access governance processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 8–12 years of experience

• Design, configure, and implement SAP S/4HANA user roles, authorizations, and profiles across various SAP environments
• Implement and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls
• Provide security design support for Central Finance (CFIN) or Group Reporting solutions
• Collaborate with business and process teams to define and enforce appropriate security controls
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and internal governance standards
• Manage SAP security settings across SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, and SAP Cloud platforms
• Perform user access reviews, risk assessments, and remediation activities
• Work with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and integrations with SAP systems
• Maintain and manage role catalogues within IGA platforms such as Saviynt, SAP IDM, or ForgeRock
• Provide guidance on security best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
• Act as a subject matter expert for SAP security in finance-related implementations
