Position: IT Manager

Working Duration: 12 months contract (Renewable based on performance)

Working Location: Merdeka 118, Jalan Hang Jebat, 50118 Kuala Lumpur

Working Day/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30AM - 5:30PM

Salary: Basic up to RM6,000 (Based on experience + skills) with statutory contribution + medical insurance + leave entitlement

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day IT operations and support, which include providing hands-on assistance for ticketing systems, POS, access control, turnstiles, workstations, printers, and peripherals. Ensure system reliability by promptly responding to incidents and service requests during operational hours, while also performing proactive system checks and troubleshooting to guarantee that all technology is fully operational before opening and remains stable during peak periods.
  • Support both onsite and online ticketing systems, including POS terminals, scanners, and payment devices, while assisting with system setup, configuration, and testing for promotions and peak-day operations. Escalate any technical issues or discrepancies to the IT Manager and relevant vendors as needed
  • Active maintenance of network infrastructure (LAN/Wi-Fi) and end-user hardware like workstations, kiosks, and printers. Preemptively address potential failures through routine checks. Ability to quickly identify, report, and facilitate the replacement of faulty equipment, managing warranty claims where necessary, to maintain seamless productivity across all departments
  • Accurate logging of all IT incidents and the application of standard troubleshooting procedures to restore services promptly. Monitor issue resolution timelines and ensuring critical or unresolved incidents are escalated to the IT Manager in strict accordance with incident response protocols. Active participation in post-incident reviews, contributing to the development of corrective actions to prevent future occurrences and enhance system stability
  • Enforce fundamental IT security practices, including password controls, user access management, and device security protocols to safeguard organizational assets. Actively monitor systems for unusual behavior or potential vulnerabilities and promptly report identified security risks to the management. Support the implementation of IT security policies and controls, assisting in the deployment of measures that protect data integrity and maintain compliance with established security frameworks
  • Responsible for coordinating with vendors and service providers to facilitate onsite support, scheduled maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems and equipment. Assisting during system upgrades, patch deployments, and new system rollouts to ensure smooth implementation with minimal disruption. Support acceptance testing and system handovers, verifying that new or updated systems meet operational requirements before being fully integrated into the environment
  • Provide on-site IT support during peak periods, special events, soft openings, and emergency situations to ensure continuous system availability. Work closely with frontline teams to minimize Guest impact during system issues, communicating effectively to manage expectations and maintain service levels. Support the quick recovery of systems, prioritizing restoration efforts to ensure minimal disruption to Guest flow and protect revenue-generating activities
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, up-to-date asset lists, and comprehensive incident logs to support operational visibility and continuity. Preparing daily or weekly IT support reports for the IT Manager, providing clear summaries of activities, issues resolved, and outstanding matters. Support audit and compliance documentation as required, ensuring records are complete, organized, and readily available for internal reviews or external audits

 

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant IT support experience.
  • Experience in hospitality, attractions, retail or high-traffic operational environments.
  • Exposure to ticketing systems, POS, access control or payment systems. 
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills for hardware, software and basic networking.
  • Good understanding of IT support processes and incident handling.
  • Ability to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays as required by operations.
  • Calm, methodical and service-oriented approach under pressure.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with non-technical users.
  • Team player with willingness to learn and grow into more senior IT roles.
