Role Summary

Adecco Korea is partnering with a rapidly growing organization in the medical imaging sector to appoint a Country Manager for Japan. This is a key leadership role responsible for establishing and driving the company’s presence in one of the most important healthcare markets in Asia.

We are seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded leader who can oversee business operations, expand market reach, and build strong partnerships across Japan.

Key Competencies:

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Leadership & Market Execution

• Lead full business operations for the Japan entity, aligning with global strategies and objectives
• Execute headquarters’ direction while ensuring effective localization for the Japanese market
• Prepare and deliver regular performance and market reports to global leadership

2. Sales & Marketing Management

• Oversee sales channels including distributors, partners, and key opinion leaders (KOLs)
• Strengthen client relationships and drive revenue growth in the Japan market
• Support and coordinate participation in local conferences, exhibitions, and medical congresses

3. Market Intelligence & Business Development

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in Japan
• Identify and assess new business opportunities and growth areas
• Contribute to strategic planning through actionable market insights

4. Entity & Team Management

• Build and lead the local team, including hiring and talent development
• Ensure smooth business operations, compliance, and administrative governance
• Act as the representative leader of the Japan entity

An Ideal Candidate:

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in medical imaging (CT, MRI, PET) within the Japan market
• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Fluent Japanese (native-level proficiency required)
• Willingness and ability to be based in Japan

Preferred

• Experience in medical devices or healthcare-related international business operations (e.g., sales planning, sales support)
• Proven track record in channel management and overseas sales organizations
• Previous experience as a Country Manager or leading an overseas entity
• Educational background in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or Healthcare-related fields
